$1,000 Small Business Rebate for WH&S Equipment
Eligible small businesses can receive up to $1,000 from the NSW Government for Workplace Health & Safety equipment they have purchased.
This rebate is available to small businesses (up to 50 employees), sole traders, charities and not-for-profits (NFPs) registered and operating in NSW.
How much can you claim?
Businesses can claim the cost of WH&S equipment they have purchased up to a maximum amount of $1,000.
Example 1: If you have spent $650 on equipment, you can claim $650 back.
Example 2: If you have spent $2,000 on equipment, you can claim $1,000 back.
As long as your business is eligible, there are two important requirements you will need to satisfy to make a successful claim.
Eligible education activity
A SafeWork NSW education activity must be conducted in your business sometime in the 12 months before you claim.
These activities include webinars, inspector visits, field days, presentations, industry events, business forums or workshops.

Proof of purchase
You must include an invoice or receipt as part of your claim for each purchased item.
