After 35 years BEC makes the big moves

Media Release – Published in the Daily Advertiser 1 Sep 2021

After 35 years supporting local businesses from its existing premises in Coleman Street, BEC Business Advice has expanded and relocated to Trail Street in the historic Daily Advertiser building in the heart of Wagga Wagga.

The larger office, which opens today, is part of BEC’s expansion to a broader ‘one-stop-shop’ of business advice and service under the name Riverina Murray Business (RMB). The new premises is already home to 11 businesses and will also offer RMB client’s access to meeting rooms and hub spaces.

RMB Business Advisor David Yeates said the creation of Riverina Murray Business is aimed at filling a gap in the region for local SMEs to easily and cost-effectively access a full suite of skilled professionals to provide expertise on everything from business planning and marketing to accounting, human resources and legal.

“BEC Business Advice will still operate under RMB and continue to provide Government-subsidised advice, however as RMB we now incorporate My Little Marketing Co., myRiverina and Manufacturers Accelerator, and provide direct access under subscription packages to experienced consultants from Adams Kenneally White Chartered Accountants, Kell Moore Lawyers and Conveyancing, totalHRM and RSM Australia; with more specialist consultants soon to join,” he said.

Tim Kurylowicz, Executive Director from Eastern Riverina Arts, one of RMB’s new tenants, is excited by the potential opportunities for his organisation as a result of operating from RMB’s new central location.

“A big focus of our work at Eastern Riverina Arts is about helping artists to grow their networks and client offerings. It makes good sense for us to be located in RMB’s bustling business hub, where there can be a really healthy synergy between creative innovation and business success.”

Chartered Accountants Selby Watson & Co are long term tenants of Trail Street and Senior Accountant Emma Grant said the business was thrilled to see the Daily Advertiser site, which has been vacant for two years, being utilised by RMB.

“Trail Street is a real community in itself, with something for everyone. Now having the iconic site tenanted and with RMB’s breadth of offer and expected foot traffic, it expands the diversity of the Trail Street strip and is going to be great for the central business district. We welcome the RMB team, their tenants and clients,” she said.

Riverina Murray Business remains the same experienced and passionate team providing down-to-earth straight-up business advice the local business community has come to expect from BEC. The experienced and knowledgeable consultants, many of whom have owned their own businesses and live locally, genuinely care about the community, their clients and the quality of advice and service they provide to help businesses achieve their goals.

“Riverina Murray Business acts like insurance to give peace of mind for business owners regardless of their business size or stage, that they have timely, direct access to expert help, resources and facilities when they need it,” added Mr Yeates.
