2022 Small Business Support Program

The Small Business Support package provides financial assistance primarily to small businesses that still face financial pressure associated with COVID-19.

For businesses with employees

If you are employing staff in NSW, the program will provide $750-$5,000 per week to help support cash flow and maintain employees.

The payment will be equivalent to 20% of the weekly payroll for work performed in NSW.

For businesses with no employees

If your business does not have employees e.g. sole traders, you may still be eligible for $500 per week under the program.

Eligible businesses

Primarily small businesses, sole traders and not-for-profit organisations in NSW.

How can you use the payment?

The payment can be used to cover business costs incurred due to the impacts of the Omicron strain of COVID-19 in NSW including:

  • salaries and wages
  • utilities and rent
  • financial, legal or other advice
  • marketing and communications
  • perishable goods
  • other business costs.
